November 1997

For the first time I land in Bucuresti-Otopeni, national airport. I have a contract with the Posta Romana, to support them in improving their service quality. It seems as if I've travelled time and got back in the decennium of my year if birth (1962). Bucuresti is not an attractive town, introverted. Getting something done is hard. Let's get out. We travel all over the country, and we are received extremely friendly. I begin to discover Romanian's soul and beauty. After only a short period in Romania, Mircea, a civil servant, says: "Luk, you will either like Romania, or you'll love it…" It was the moment when I realised that I would like to start making business in Romania and feel at home...

12 years later: Bucuresti has grown to be a stressed, expensive, western town. More Hummers, Q7's and Porche Cayennes than one sees in entire Belgium. But Mircea was right – despite all less nice aspects of Romania (administration, little client orientation, bad streets, chaos), the climate, nature, nice people and sparkling live have won the battle. I've made peace with Bucuresti…

Our company is dedicated to provide technical and managerial consulting primarily to companies who focus their activities to the Central and Eastern European countries or who are looking to consolidate their development in Western Europe.
